International College Program

The International College Program is designed for college/university students of all majors, and features two different program designs.

  • Summer Work Program:
Students in this program will work at the Walt Disney World® Resort on a J-1 training visa during their summer break from school. Participants must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of their application and must return to school for at least one term following this program. The Summer/Work Program is, at maximum, a 90-day program. Participants in this program will work in operational roles at the Walt Disney World® Resort in one of the Disney resort hotels or theme parks. Possible roles include: Quick Service Restaurant, Custodial, Merchandise, Operations, and Entertainment.
    .
  • J-1 Academic Program:
There are two options for current students and recent college graduates within the J-1 Academic Program:
    .
    1. Students may enroll full time in an American college or university on a J-1 academic exchange visa and work at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Participants may spend up to a full year working and taking Disney Theme Parks & Resorts College Program classes at the Walt Disney World® Resort while also completing distance-learning classes at their sponsoring U.S. school.
    2. U.S. schools partner with international universities to offer full-time credit options to exchange students. Participants spend five months taking courses on-campus at the U.S. school and the following seven months in Orlando, Florida, working and taking classes at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Participants in these programs work in operational roles at the Walt Disney World® Resort in one of the Disney resort hotels or theme parks. Possible roles include: Quick-Service Restaurant, Lifeguard, Merchandise, Hospitality, Housekeeping, Vacation Planning, Recreation, Operations, or Custodial.

Participants do not work at the Epcot pavilions for their respective countries.

Students interested in the J-1 Academic Program should contact their school's International/Study Abroad Office to inquire about what options may be available. Students seeking more information may also contact the Disney International Programs Recruiting Office via email: wdw.int.recruiting@disney.com.
